Glen Canyon Rec Area, Kane County, Utah

From the Glen Canyon Dam, we headed out on US 89 west and came upon the Glen Canyon Recreation area on Lake Powell. We decided to check it out and there was camping lakeside. It was $3 a night.....who can beat that price?



As you can see from the pic above there is this giant rock right in the middle of this lake. That is why this area is called Lone Rock campground.

The first two days the weather was beautiful but on the third day it was so windy it was stinging our ankles. We were leaving that day anyway. Our time is up here, but as you can see we had a great campsite!

And the view out our back window was just awesome, as you can see from the picture below.
