Gastonia-Altamaha St Pk, Reidsville, GA

No better way to spend the weekend then with family on Labor Day Weekend on 9/2, 3 & 4/2011 then camping at this campground which is only about 45 minutes from home.

This bunch never excludes the good eats when we are away either. We had corn on the cob and some awesome steaks on the grill below.

Before we ate though we did some biking all around the campground and state park area and then took a little respite in a shelter next to the lake.

The folks left to right are: Jeff, Saleena, Dennis and Peggy. (Peggy is Jeff's cousin)

Below is a view of the lake from the shelter that we were resting at.

The picture below is one of the streets at the campground. There are only 28 sights. Four of which are full hook ups. All others are water/electric only. You can reserve a space but not a specific site.

The picture below shows Dennis & Peggy's camper. We were there a lot just hanging out and playing beanie bag toss. It was loads of fun !

This is our pull thru site all the way to the back of the park. We had full hook ups and it was quiet back there. This park also offers cabins and a golf course. We road our bikes into town and stopped at the Dairy Queen for a nice cold snack !

We were in site #28, but next time hope to get along the lake area.

See ya'll down the road........
