Lucky us - visitors again !

My friend, Al, from South Miami, FL came to visit for a few days on his way north to South Carolina. We have been friends about 25 years!

My friend, Sherry, came to visit for a few weeks. Originally we met in South Florida and we've been friends about 30 years. She recently moved to Asheville, NC to be near her daughter.

Of course, in the picture below, are my new pups. Ginger on the right and Scruffy on the left.
They are adorable and are still proving to be worth the work! Love em!

My friends, Al and Sherry are both relaxing in front of the TV. Two ole' cripples it appears! One has a bad knee and the other has his ankle on ice!! Al had surgery last year and the ankle sorta swelled up on him......

I talked Sherry into making me a coconut cream cake (my favorite) This job is usually my mother-in-laws task, but she isn't visiting till September and I couldn't wait that long.........

See ya'll soon, we hope !

Gazebo complete and a new Grill

Things are still changing around here as you can see from the picture below. We have added a grill on the patio. We finally were able to put back our small RV grill!

I ordered some patio furniture for the deck and Jeff is still working hard at getting the gazebo done. I just love the look of the new furniture. It is comfortable too and reasonably priced.

Jeff made his own design for the ceiling in the gazebo. We added a fan to keep the gnats away. Some breeze is better than no breeze around here.........

Well the gazebo is finally complete and it looks beautiful. Jeff did, as usual, a fantastic job.

I am happy this project is over and it looks awesome!

Hope to see ya'll soon !

Gazebo, dragonflies & company from Florida

On our front porch I have a front door mat that has all kinds of flying insects on it, including the dragonfly.

I go outside the other day and there is a dragonfly next to my dragonfly on the mat. I thought it was cool !

My brother came up from South Florida to visit mom and I. This was taken over 4th of July weekend.

The picture below show the beginnings of our gazebo which Jeff is adding to our deck. The outside dimensions are about 14 ft x 14 ft. It is getting there and it will look great when done !

See ya down the road !

Little Ocmulgee St Pk, McRae, GA

Over July 4th weekend we were finally able to get away for a 2 night camping adventure to this state park about 1 hour from home. They have a golf course, a lodge and restaurant, a pool, a lake to fish on, a play area for kids called the Splash Zone, and two hiking trails.

This is a view from the side of our site. Lots of room between sites. Large level asphalt pads. Water and electric with Cable. No sewer hook up but there is a dump station.

We were in site #50. A really nice with about 50% shade.

This is Jeff and the 'girls' on one of the hiking trails. (Little Ginger only made it about 1/2 way and we had to carry her the rest!)

After that hike 'someone' was tuckered out - and he fell asleep with his 'drink' in his hand !

See ya down the road !
