Update on the Home Front !

Well, Well, How time does fly!

This is our wedding picture taken fifteen years ago, the 13th of this month. It was a beautiful day and we had a beautiful (if not cold) anniversary.

We are preparing for our new home and that day is soon to arrive.......

As it turns out we get the call on Jeff's birthday last week to come take a look-see at the new house which just came off the assembly line.

In the picture below Jeff is exiting the front door after looking inside quickly. Unfortunately for us they could not put the dormer on the front of the house as we got a higher pitched roof and we were told they will have to build the dormer on site.

Below is a picture of the back of the house. From here you can see that the roof is hinged and is flipped on top of the house. The height is too much to go down the road.

The picture below shows Jeff looking in the other half of the house. They put a slit in the plastic so he could pop his head in and look at the kitchen and dining room area.

We are hoping they get to deliver the house the end of this week. We'll see!

The movers are coming out today to take a peek at the property to see if it is all ready.
See ya down the road !

Look what we woke up to.......

Ice on the RV awning and 28 degrees........

Pine trees bent over or broken.......

Ice on all the trees and no power by 11 AM.........

The Ford has ice everywhere, but it started up as the block heater was plugged in......

My poor little GMC Envoy is covered in ice..........

The grill is still functional, we hope, and now it is up to 30 degrees........

But alas, it is 4:05 PM and still no power. Lines down everywhere! Glad we have those two Honda generators..........
See ya down the road !

New Year is off with a bang !

On the trip back to South Florida for the Holidays by 2002 GMC Envoy turned 100,000 miles on the odometer.

During our stay with relatives we met some neighbors on New Years Eve. Below is a picture of Jody and his mom, Delores.

I headed further south to South Miami to meet my friend, AL, for dinner.
We have been friends over 25 years.......

While in town I stopped over on New Years day to see Dr. Clifford Lakin and his wife, Arlene.
As you can see, we hit the bubbly!

I worked for Dr. Lakin for 30 years. He always called me his right hand wo-man...... I always appreciated that!

When we returned to the property in central Georgia we finally put up a mail box. Now, finally, the neighbors no longer have to intercept mail and packages for us.

We wish you a joyous and Happy New Year.
See ya down the road!
